And yes, building a show on vigilantism is highly problematic for me for many reasons (why I never got into Arrow, either). The whole concept plays far too much into the *cough* American culture of violence that leaves people convinced that gun ownership is a god-given right, and that shooting first and ascertaining threat later constitutes an acceptable risk.
